Global expansion and pursuit of profit at the expense of the planet have precipitated the climate catastrophe and accelerated a massive imbalance between humanity and the natural world. Super Vernaculars explores practices rooted in vernacular traditions, regenerative systems and cultures that live with the earth rather than from it, bringing together future-focused designers and thinkers who are exploring alternative narratives as inspiration for 21st century innovation.

Sustainable Exhibition Design
As part of BIO27’s commitment to reflect on our own impact and legacy, exhibition designers Medprostor architects and graphic designers Studio Kruh and AA were briefed to respond to the Super Vernaculars theme and aim to reduce the biennial’s environmental footprint.
